A 57-year-old man known as Kwasi Boateng has committed suicide after killing his wife Akosua Ntem, 47, over lack of sex at Kokoa near Sampa in the Jaman North District of the Brong Ahafo Region.
According to a local Journalist in the community, Boateng went on his usual drinking spree and upon returning home around 9pm Saturday he wanted to have sex with his wife but she refused accusing him of drinking.
This resulted in hot exchanges between the two but Boateng in the process shot his wife in the head who died instantly.
Boateng sensing danger also shot himself in the stomach and died instantly.
The bodies of the two have been deposited at the Samoa Government Hospital Morgue pending autopsy.
Meanwhile, the Sampa Police have begun investigations into the incident.
