NDC ward to hold congress

Accra, Feb. 23, GNA – Mr Mawuko Amedume, Abossey Okai Ward Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has said the much awaited delegate congress to elect a Member of Parliament for the Ablekuma Central Constituency is set for February 28, 2004 at Abossey Okai cluster of schools yard.

He hinted that three contestants who have so far filed for their nomination were Mrs Princess Alberta Mac-Cartey, a Beautician, Mr Basha Hasey, Businessman, and Mr Attuquaye Quaye, also a Businessman. Mr Amedume made this known when he addressed delegates at a meeting on Saturday at Abossey Okai.

He briefed the delegates on how voting would be conducted by the electoral officers and the need to vote. Mr Amedume called on them to abide by the rules when the time comes to ensure sanity during the elections. 23 Feb. 04
