Electricity rationing goes on 12-hour cycle

The Electricity Company of Ghana has reverted to a 12-hour power cut schedule. The Public Relations Officer of ECG, Mr. Kwamena Longdon said the power cut schedule had to be redesigned to cater especially for domestic storage of food items. He said the ECG after a careful consideration thought the 12-hour schedule was better. Mr. Longdon said that under the new schedule, each group would enjoy 12 hours of schedule power at a time for three days until they are rescheduled for another time for another group. The new schedule does not affect the current load in anyway and the power cut has only been redesigned and not reduced or increased.
