Police on manhunt for filling station manager over GHS23,000

One Obed Appiah, a Diaso-based filling station manager, has been declared wanted by the Ghana Police Service.

Appiah is believed to have absconded with an amount of GHS 23, 154, 01.49 belonging to Top Oil Filling Station at Diaso in the Central Region.

His ‘wanted’ status was contained in a notice issued by the Ghana Police Service on February 1, 2017.

According to the police, the complainant, Kofi Antwi (who happens to own the facility), went to audit his manager, Appiah, at his Top Oil Filling Station and detected that the huge amount had been stolen by the manager, who had then left his duty post. He is believed to be hiding in Kade, his hometown.

The police are therefore requesting that anyone with information about the whereabouts of the suspect should contact the Diaso police command or any nearest police station or call 0243349164.
