MUSLIMS PRAY FOR RAINS

Muslims at Nima, Maamobi and Kanda in Accra at the weekend held special prayers for early rains to mitigate the current energy crisis in the country. An Islamic Leader, Sheikh Armiyawa Jibrin, who led the Muslims in prayers said it is only through prayers that the nation’s problems can be solved. He urged Muslims to show keen interest in national affairs and live in peace with their neighbours. The assembly member for Maamobi east, Alhaji Haruna Bukari Dabre, appealed to Muslim leaders to find lasting solutions to conflict among some sects in the country. He advised the people in the area to take the forthcoming unit committee and district assembly elections seriously by voting for people for people who will help develop their communities. gri
