I will build on Kofi Boakye’s legacy – DCOP Ken Yeboah

The incoming Ashanti Regional Police Commander, DCOP Ken Yeboah, has assured the people of the region that he will sustain the gains made by his predecessor DCOP Nathan Kofi Boakye.

According to him, Mr Boakye achieved a lot of success while serving in the region, therefore, he has no business coming to ruin those achievements.

Speaking during the send-off ceremony for Mr Boakye in Kumasi on Friday February 17, Mr Yeboah said: “If you are unable to protect your father’s legacies, definitely those legacies will be destroyed, and so I assure you that I will sustain the gains made by Kofi Boakye in the region and improve on it.

“I will need the kind of support you demonstrated toward him when he was in the region in order to ensure that we sustain the gains and improve on them.”

For his part, the outgoing regional commander said: “I would like to thank Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and all the chiefs in the region for the support they gave me during my stay in the region.

Also, all the achievements would not have been possible without the support of all the other officers. I was just directing affairs but those who actually did the work are the officers, and, so, I will like to thank them very much. The media also played a key role in the fight against crime in the region, and, so, I also congratulate them in that respect.

The police administration has assigned another regional commander, Ken Yeboah, who is capable of fighting crime in the society, to the region.

I can assure you that he knows his job and will sustain the gains we have made in the region and improve on them. I want you to give him all the support you gave to me.”
