Six suspected robbers in police grip The Eastern regional police command has arrested six suspected robbers at Pentuawala and its environs in the Eastern region after three days of operation.

The police, after conducting a search on them in their hideouts, retrieved eight laptops, a crowbar and three masks among other items. The seventh person, who is a taxi driver is on the run, TV3 Eastern regional correspondent Yvonne Neequaye reports.

The Deputy Eastern Regional Police Commander ACP Nuhu Janko says his outfit intends to make robbery and other crimes expensive for criminals. His outfit would also intensify its foot patrols, he said.
