Kufuor receives message from Gbagbo

Accra, Feb.17, GNA – President John Agyekum Kufuor on Tuesday received a special message from Ivorian President Laurent Gbagbo at the Castle, Osu.

Mrs Ottro Sarata Toure, Deputy Secretary to President Gbagbo, who delivered the message, said it was to brief the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Chairman, President Kufuor on the developments in Cote D’Ivoire.

She said Ghana being a sister country to Cote D’Ivoire it was necessary to have the government and people informed of the political and economic developments in her country.

President Kufuor expressed appreciation for the message and said it was necessary to have periodic information on the situation in Cote D’Ivoire being a sister country and a member of ECOWAS.

Present was Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Minister of Foreign Affairs.
