Akufo-Addo holds first cabinet meeting today

President Akufo-Addo will today, February 2, 2017 chair his maiden cabinet meeting after assuming office early January this year.

The meeting will include all Ministers of State who have been approved by parliament and those yet to be approved.

Sources close to government say the meeting will focus on preparations for the 2017 Budget which is expected to be read in March, and some crunch issues bordering on the economy.

The President returned from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, yesterday and is expected to be briefed on happenings in his absence.
