President Kufour leaves for NEPAD meeting in Kigali

Accra February 11 GNA – The President John Agyekum Kufuor left Accra Wednesday for Kigali, Rwanda to attend the Heads of State Implementation Commission Meeting on NEPAD which takes place on February 13 and 14.

Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Dr. Kofi Konadu Apraku, Minister for NEPAD and Regional Integration accompanied him.

Mr Kwabena Agyepong, Presidential Spokesperson, told Journalist in a pre-departure briefing that the meeting is expected to be attended by all the twenty-members of the Commission and would discuss the implementation of the Peer Review Mechanism.

President Olusegu Obasanjo of Nigeria, who is the Chairman of the Commission, would chair the conference.

At the Airport to see off the President were the Vice President Alhaji Aliu Mahama, Ministers of State and the Inspector General of Police.
