Dr. Limann laid in state.

The late President of the 3rd Republic of Ghana, Dr. Hilla Limann today began his journey back to his ancestors at Gwollu in the Upper West Region of Ghana, when a cortege bearing his mortal remains was paraded through some principal streets of Accra to the Independence Square. As the cortege passed by, people on their way to work and many others, rushed to bid their final farewell to the man who ruled Ghana from September 1979 to December 1981. Some shed tears openly while others just waved when the cortege began the 3rd day journey to Gwollu where Dr. Limann is also a traditional paramount chief. Dr, Limann died at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital on the 23rd of January following a heart ailment.
