Oppongkrom appeals for more teachers

Oppongkrom (B/A) Feb. 10 GNA – The Chiefs and people of Oppongkrom, a farming community in the Asunafo District of Brong Ahafo have appealed to the Asunafo District Directorate of Education to post additional teachers to the town to save their local schools from collapse. Mr. Kingsley Owura Asabre, Assembly Member, told Ghana News Agency that inadequate teaching staff had affected quality teaching and learning as a teacher handled several classes at a time.

He said the chiefs and people were fully prepared to accommodate any number of teachers posted to the town.

The Assembly Member appealed to schoolchildren in the area to study hard and train as future leaders.
