AU Commission elects Ghanaian as Deputy Chairperson

Ghanaian, Ambassador Kwesi Quartey has been elected the Deputy Chairperson of the African Union Commission.

He was elected on Monday at the 28th Summit of Heads of State and Government at the African Union (AU) Headquarters, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

With over 35 years experience as a diplomatic career, Ambassador Quartey served in various capacities in Ghana’s Embassies and High Commissions in Cotonou, Cairo, Brussels, Havana, London and the Ghana Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York.
