I will upgrade Ghana’s military technologically – Nitiwul

Nominee for the minister of Defense, Dominic Nitiwul has pledged to upgrade Ghana’s Military to enable them combat cybercrimes and wars.

Dominic Nitiwul noted that the country’s security forces are not abreast with new technology to prevent hacking and other cybercrimes.

“We need to invest as a country in that particular field and train them and get the best materials. We’ve got to attract the best materials into defense, we’ve got to attract the best material into research for the Ghana Armed Forces, we’ve got to attract the best materials to work with them..” he said

Mr. Nitiwul also indicated President Akufo-Addo’s commitment to making the country’s security ‘fast, modern and a well-equipped army which will make their morale high’

“In every country, when everything fails, it’s the Military that stands firm, when everything else fails it’s the Military. Any new technology; whether it’s the internet, whether it’s planes, whether it’s a new car, it all emanates from the internet… that’s the direction in which Nana Akufo-Addo wants to go because he wants a fast, modern and well equipped army that the morale is very high. So issues of accommodation, sanitation… will all be taken care of”
