Two NADMO staff arrested for stealing blankets

Two employees of the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) at Gwollu in the Sissala West District of the Upper West region, are in the grips of the police for stealing a bale of blankets.

The night watchman and another staff were reported to have conspired in stealing the items from the warehouse meant for disaster victims.

Bags of rice and other relief items according Balu Mohammed, also mysteriously disappeared from the warehouse as a result of the ingenuity of the two.

Police in the area confirmed the incident to ultimatefmonline.com but said they are currently investigating the matter and will soon haul the two before court for theft and unlawful entry.
