Rastafarian attempts to kill father for refusing to educate him

A 30 year-old Rastafarian has allegedly made an attempt to murder his father for refusing to make him continue his education to the senior school level after he completed junior high school.

The suspect, Emma Darteh is the second of Mr. Effah Darteh seven children, and the only one who had not had secondary and tertiary education like the other six siblings.

Our regional correspondent, Abdul Razak in a report said, Emma had on several occasions complained to his father to make him continue his education after completing junior high school.

He said, the suspect could not understand why the father failed to allow him continue his education or enroll him at a technical or vocational school. He was always complaining to the father but he [father] failed to listen to him.

Emma he noted wielding a knife threatened the father to enroll him in school or sponsor him to learn a trade. The knife he added, harmed the father and he’s currently on admission at the hospital.

The incident happened in the Brong Ahafo region.
