Obinim’s lawyers ordered to produce medical report

An Accra Circuit Court presided over by Her Honour Mrs Abena Oppong Djin-Doku has ordered lawyers of Bishop Daniel Obinim to produce medical certificate showing that he is sick.

In court today, when hearing was expected to start in a case in which Bishop Obinim and two other associates pastor are facing trial for abusing two minors, his lawyer Ralph Poku Adusei said he was sick.

He also told the court that, the victims have gone back to the police to give further statement indicating they are not minors, contrary to prosecution’s case.

Ultimate news’ Wilberforce Asare reported that the court has however ordered for the police hospital examination form.

The case has been adjourned to January 26, 2017.

Obinim flogged two of his adopted children last years for engaging in amorous relationship.
