Uhuru Kenyatta, Mbasogo arrive for Akufo-Addo’s inauguration

Three African leaders, Egdar Lungu, Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo and Uhuru Kenyatta, from Zambia, Equatorial Guinea and Kenya respectively have arrived in Ghana to grace the investiture of President-elect Akufo-Addo.

Other leaders are also expected to arrive in the country later today.

The inauguration of the 72 year old leader, Akufo-Addo will come off Saturday, January 7, 2017.

Akufo-Addo won a historic polls for his party, NPP last year December beating the incumbent John Mahama in a high stakes election.

He will become the fifth president of Ghana since the inception of the fourth republic.

Several dignitaries and foreign diplomats are expected to grace the occasion, which will have the President of Ivory Coast, Alassane Ouattara, as the special guest of honour.
