May the sun shine upon Ghana – Gambian president-elect

The president-elect of Gambia, Adama Barrow has extoled Ghana’s democracy as he commends the smooth transfer of power from the NDC led government under John Mahama and the new NPP led government as the nation celebrates the investiture of president Nana Akufo-Addo.

Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo was led by the Chief Justice, Theodora Georgina Wood to take the oath of office before thousands, at the inaugural ceremony held at the Black Stars square on Saturday January 7, 2017.

“…We must do the work the season demands,” he charged in his inaugural speech.

He has become the 5th president of the 4th Republic.

In a statement, Adama Barrow said “I am hopeful that the presidency of H.E Akufo-Addo is going to carry on the great work of President John D. Mahama.”
