President Kufuor Commends Pastor Ashimolowo

The President, His Excellency Mr. John Agyekum Kufuor has commended Pastor Mathew Ashimolowo, Head of the Kingsway International Christian Centre Ministry (KICC) in the UK for his inspirational teachings which his popular TV programmes had brought to many homes in Ghana for the past six years.

President Kufuor expressed the hope that Pastor Ashimolowo’s consistency and excellence would continue to be a source of motivation to many Ghanaians.

This commendation was contained in a message read on his behalf by Mr. Kwabena Baah-Duodu, Deputy High Commissioner to the UK at a ceremony organised in London by the KICC to mark the 30th anniversary of Pastor Ashimolowo’s Ministry.

The Deputy High Commissioner also extended the warmest felicitations of the staff of the Ghana High Commission in London, whom, he said, were also pleased to share in the joy and celebration.

He noted that many Ghanaians had been touched by Pastor Ashimolowo’s sermons and the good work being done by the KICC and expressed the hope that Pastor Ashimolowo would continue to spread the Good news which had, among other things, brought hope and joy to his congregation.

Tributes to Pastor Ashimolowo, which came from all over the world, included those from the Okyenhene, Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin, and the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu.
