Afoko will not need any appointment in government – SK Boafo

A former Chieftaincy and Culture Minister in the erstwhile Kufuor administration Mr Samson Kwaku Boafo, has stated categorically that suspended national chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Paul Awentami Afoko will not need any appointment in government.

“I know Paul and I don’t think he will need any ministerial appointment in the incoming government. I don’t even think he will accept any appointment to serve in government. There are so many things he can do on his own that makes him a man of his own” he stated.

He indicated that the other two suspended national executives including Sammie Crabbe and Kwabena Agyepong could be considered but disclosed that that can only be done if they mend their differences with the party and congratulate the president-elect.

When prompted by Lantam Papanko, host of the Ultimate Breakfast Show that they have congratulated the president-elect; he observed that it was a sign of maturity on their part to have taken such a step.

According to him, he wished they are recalled into the party at this critical moment especially when the NPP is trumpeting it stands for unity.

“I wish they could be part of the party’s victory. There are others who will join from others parties in the victory of the NPP why not them. They should congratulate the president-elect but if they have done so, then it is a positive sign”, he concluded.
