I never slapped Ketu South MCE – Fifi Kwetey

The Member of Parliament for the Ketu South constituency, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey has dismissed claims, that he slapped the Municipal Chief Executive in his constituency, Pascal Lamptey for allegedly pocketing cash meant for campaign activities.

According to a news article published on an online portal, the Minister of Transport went berserk in the aftermath of the governing NDC’s humiliating electoral defeat in hands of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), viciously attacking the MCE of his constituency for allegedly siphoning monies that were meant for campaign activities.

But Speaking in an interview with StarrFMonline.com Fifi Kwetey dismissed the publication stating that it was fabricated to tarnish his reputation.

“I am not only surprised but shocked at the said publication because nothing of that nature happened. There was never an altercation between us over alleged embezzling of campaign funds. I am totally above that.

“I just don’t understand why some media firms will go ahead to publish stories without even consulting the people involved to ascertain the truth.

“All these are machinations by people who will stop at nothing to tarnish my image and that of the National Democratic Congress, but that won’t wash.”

He added: “I state again that the reports are false and should he treated with the utmost contempt it deserves,” he emphasized.
