NPP supporters want ban on noise making relaxed for jubilation

Supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ashanti region are appealing to the Manhyia Palace to relax the ban on noise making to enable them ‘party hard’ in commemoration of the victory of the party.

Many believe the ban is curtailing their excitement levels after the polls and will want traditional authorities to reconsider the ban in view of the fact that the region remains the stronghold of the NPP which has just won.

“They should relax the ban so that we can begin the Christmas celebrations and end it with the swearing in ceremony on January 7”, an elated NPP supporter told ultimatefmonline.com.

The Kumasi Metropolis since last Friday has witnessed series of wild jubilation following the victory of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo over his closest contender John Dramani Mahama by the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Residents are however of the view that the jubilations could be taken to a different level if the ban on noise making in Asanteman either lifted or relaxed according to a cross section of them who spoke to ultimatefmonline.com within the Central Business District.
