Mahama disappointed his people in the three Northern Regions – Former GJA boss

Former Ashanti Regional Chairman of the Ghana Journalist Association is accusing outgoing president, John Dramani Mahama of neglecting the three northern regions of Ghana.

Listowell Yesu Bukarson also accuses John Mahama of sharply dividing the north along tribal discrimination during the electioneering campaign.

The former GJA boss who was Mahama’s code ally was speaking in an interview with Isaac Obiri-Yeboah on Abusua, 96.5 FM.

Listowel Bukarson in the heat of the campaign publicly endorsed then opposition leader, Nana Akufo Addo.

Listowel said he abandoned the friendship with John Mahama because of the alarming rate of corruption under the outgoing government. He does not understand why the north is still suffering in abject poverty when the president is a son of the north.

“President Mahama is very corrupt..look at how very fine interventions like SADA, Azongtaba and the rest were destroyed by people from the north led by Mahama himself”, he charged.

He adds, “I am sure, Nana Addo will rescue the country from the growing economic hardship, Nana represents hope.”

“Nana has openly declared he’s not corrupt and I believe him. Was John Mahama able to make such a bold declaration,” he asked.
