Motor accident claims two lives in Oguaa

Cape Coast, Jan 19, GNA – Kwesi Ahoryo, a Cape Coast based taxi driver, died on the spot whilst another passenger Festus Nuetifa Kodzo, aged 11 also died on admission at the Central Regional Hospital when the taxi cab in which they were travelling in collided with Mercedes Benz car in front of the University of Cape Coast East gate on Friday Five other people including the driver of the Benz car were injured and are on admission at the same hospital.

ASP Ken Amo, the Regional Commander of the Motor Traffic Unit who made this known to the GNA on Monday, mentioned Mr Kwaku Barnes, driver of the Benz car, Mr Fredric Figbe, master Jonathan Nana Kwesi, miss Sandra Brebo and Madam Sophia Acquah as the injured.

He said Mr Barnes, who was driving the Benz with a trades number plate from Tema Harbour towards Takoradi, attempted to over take a vehicle and in the processed collided with the taxicab. Kodzo, Nana Kwesi 6, and Sandra Brebo 14 years old are all pupils of the University Primary Schools.
