Police recover Indian hemp from peddlers

Madina, (G/A) Jan 19, GNA – Police have seized 279 wrappers suspected to be Indian hemp from some peddlers in Madina.

The Police, on their usual rounds, searched one Shaibu Mammah When Mammah was searched, a wrapper of leaves uspected to be and found on him Indian hemp and took the police to where he bought it. But before they got there the peddlers took to their heels. They searched the hut and found a black school bag containing two polythene bags with 279 wrappers of Indian hemp. The Madina District Crime Officer, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Mr. Osei Kwadwo, said Mammah would be put before court. 19 Jan 04
