DCE cautions parents against intimidating teachers

Mankranso (Ash), Jan 16, GNA – Mr Kwaku Obeng Boateng, Ahafo-Ano South District Chief Executive, on Monday cautioned parents against intimidating teachers who discipline their children.

He said the training being given by their teachers at schools could assist in making children useful citizens in future. Mr Boateng was speaking at the President’s end-of-year party for about 200 selected school children drawn from all the 10 area councils in the district at Mankranso.

He urged school children to study hard to justify the huge investment their parents and the assembly were making in their education.

Mr Boateng advised them against drug abuse, sexual promiscuity, prostitution and other vices that could affect their development. Ghana’s Ambassador to Togo, Mr Osei Bonsu, called on school children to respect their parents and teachers and learn hard to attain higher academic laurels. 16 Jan. 04
