Fire razes shops at Asawase

A fire outbreak at Akwatia Line in the Ashanti Region has destroyed a dozen wooden shops close to the Asawase office of the National Democratic Congress(NDC).

The inferno, which started around 10pm Sunday November 27 burnt property and items estimated to be worth thousands of cedis.

Class FM’s Hafiz Tijani reports that over wood processing shops have been burnt completely.

According to some victims, the fire may have been started from sparks from faulty electrical cables.

By 9am Monday morning, personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) had managed to put out the fire.
