Epileptic patient drowns in a well

Segbe, (V/R), Jan. 10, GNA- Kofi Tse Agbetorwu, a 20-year-old epileptic patient of Segbe, a border village near Dzodze in the Volta Region, fell into a deep well while drawing water from the well at Segbe on January 7.

A Police Source told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that Agbetorwu went to the well with others when the disease resurfaced and made him fall into the well at about 1930 hours on that day.

He said a distress call brought some adults around who rescued him and rushed him to the Saint Anthony’s Hospital at Dzodze where he was pronounced dead.

The source said the body of Agbetorwu has been deposited at the Saint Anthony’s Hospital Mortuary for autopsy.
