International Community frown on Mahama, NDC’s 3rd term bid- Odike

The Leader of the United Progressive Party and one-time confidant of President John Dramani Mahama, Akwasi Addae Odike, has revealed that the President has personally told him the international community does not support the third term bid of the NDC.

Mr. Odike stated emphatically that President Mahama is very much aware that he does not have the support of the country’s major development partners as well as the international community.

According to him, the president personally confessed to him that if he can legitimise his position, then he has to work hard in order to secure convincing victory because he did not have the backing of the international partners for the third term of the NDC.

“I am daring the president to come and deny; he dare not because he knows that I have lots of secret about him,” he noted.

The UPP leader, who made the revelation on NEW MERCURY FM in Kumasi during a programme dubbed ‘NPP Hour’ also lambasted the President Mahama-led administration for excessive borrowing and misplaced priorities, adding that the NDC government is borrowing to consume instead of spending on investment that can yield dividends to be able to pay itself.

He said President Mahama had completely lost the plot, stressing that the government is bereft of economic ideas thereby running the country into a ditch.

Mr. Odike further observed that the President Mahama-led administration cannot boast of a single legacy, adding that all previous governments are credited with certain unique policy except the current regime.

“From Nkrumah, Acheampong, Rawlings right to Kufuor, you have some unique policies to identify them but what does President Mahama have to show off, nothing!” he said.
