Bawa commends CR basic schools sports association

Cape Coast Jan 8, GNA – Alhaji Rashid Bawa, Deputy Minister of Eeducation, Youth and Sports on Monday commended the Central Regional Basic Schools Sports Association for constructing a modern park for use by schools in the region.

He made the commendation, when he paid a brief visit to the park to witness an inter-zonal district games festival at the park at Adisadel at the week-end.

Alhaji Bawa said he was highly impressed by the project and commended the association for its foresight, and assured the members that his ministry would assist them to provide tartan tracks for the field.

The games were held by the association to raise a ‘shadow’ team for the region towards the inter schools district festival at Agona Swedru slated for June 2004.

More than 100 participants took part in the games involving athletics, table tennis, volleyball, netball, soccer.
