Bawumia desecrating the brand his father supported – Joyce Bawa

Spokesperson to the NDC campaign Joyce Bawa Mogtari says the party will not react to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia over his comment that northerners must vote out the NDC to regain their lost dignity.

Her reason is that Dr. Bawumia is desecrating the same brand his father supported.

Speaking to Kasapa News Musah Lansah on the sidelines of the President’s campaign tour of the upper west region, Madam Joyce said, “I think I will totally disregard what Dr. Bawumia said. Indeed his late father Alhaji Bawumia was the chairman of the council of elders of the party he wants to desecrate. His late father was a stalwart of the party he wants to desecrate for power. I will disregard his comments and go back to the fact made by the President that tribal or ethnic politics has no place in our country”.

Madam Joyce Mogtari’s comments is in reaction to a statement by Dr. Bawumia that northerners have lost their dignity due to what he says is the incompetence of the John Mahama led NDC administration. According to him northerners must therefore vote out the current administration.

Madam Joyce however believes the contrary is the case as she told Kasapa News that, the president had lifted up the flag of country through his achievements.

According to her,”I will describe Dr. Bawumia’s comments as baseless and needless. I would like to state that indeed President Mahama has held high the flag of Ghana.”

The campaign spokesperson was upbeat about the chances of the NDC in the upper west region.

According to her the party will repeat their feat in 2012 when the won all but one seat in the region.
