NDC brought thugs to intimidate us – New Juaben North MP

The Member of Parliament for New Juaben North has accused the National Democratic Congress (NDC) of busing Zongo boys from Koforidua to intimidate them during the health walk clash.

In an interview with Ekourba Gyasi on Atinka AM Drive, the MP for New Juaben North constituency Nana Agyei Boateng mentioned that Sunday was not the first time that both parties had embarked on separate health walks in the constituency.

He added that the NDC who had already planned to cause mayhem on that day bused Zongo boys from Koforidua to instigate violence.

However, in an interview with the Eastern Regional Communication director for the NDC, Baba Jamal Conney, he mentioned that the MP, Nana Agyei Boateng is only throwing dust into the eyes of Ghanaians saying that he was the leader of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporters who started throwing stones at the NDC supporters.

Five persons got injured Sunday morning at New Juaben North in the Eastern Region following a clash between supporters of National Democratic Congress (NDC) and New Patriotic Party (NPP) during a health walk.

A swift intervention by the police averted a bloodbath according to reports. They fired warning shots to disperse the marauding party supporters.
