Mfantseman Community Bank introduces new products

Biriwa, Jan. 7, GNA – The Mfantseman Community Bank at Biriwa in the Central Region has introduced two new products, first African Money Link Transfer which deals in transfer of foreign currencies and apex link domestic transfer.

Mr. Bernard Boadu, Manager of the bank disclosed this to the GNA in an interaction at Biriwa on Tuesday said both products were the brainchild of ARB Apex Bank introduced to facilitate easy transfer of money by customers.

Mr. Boadu appealed to customers and citizens of the Mfantseman District to support the management and the Interim Management Committee headed by Rev Ato Graves Mills to uplift the image of the bank. He said the vision of the bank, which was established in June 1997, was to become the best micro financing institution in the Central Region and one of the best in the country.

Mr. Boadu said though the IMC was determined to make the bank a viable and a friendly place to do business it needed the support of the customers who had to make prompt payment of loans and the people of the area who should patronize its activities and buy shares.

He said by so doing the bank would be in a position to contribute meaningfully to poverty eradication in the area.

The Manager expressed gratitude to Bank of Ghana for taking prompt action to streamline some administrative errors, which nearly collapsed the bank.

He assured donors and customers that BOG had placed the bank on a sound footing and that no one should entertain fears of losing his or her money.
