Agric department workers robbed at gunpoint

Three workers of the Upper West regional department of Agriculture have been attacked at gunpoint, Starr News has gathered.

The workers, who are yet to be named, were on monitoring activities Tuesday afternoon when the bandits attacked them in the neighbourhood of Gadi, a farming community in the region.

Confirming the incident to Starr News, the Upper West regional director of Agriculture Kwaku Minkah Fordjour said several items including mobile phones and digital camera of the victims were taken by the robbers.

He said even though they were not harmed physically, their demeanour suggests that they have suffered post traumatic shock.

The police are yet to commence investigations into the incident.
