President Kufuor donates to Orphanage

Aboadze (W/R) Dec. 29, GNA – President John Agyekum Kufuor has donated a quantity of rice, a ram and 200,000 cedis to the Aboadze Orphanage towards the Christmas celebrations.

Mr. Joseph B. Aidoo, Western Regional Minister, who presented the items on behalf of the President, said the package was to make the Christmas festivities lively for the 64 children at the home.

Receiving the items, Rev. Paul Awotwi, Founder of the orphanage commended the President for the gesture saying since its establishment over four years ago, the feeding and clothing of the children had been a major concern.

He said the children were increasing in numbers and the authorities were facing difficulty in raising funds for their upkeep.
