Assemblyman appeals for more teaching staff

Duodukrom (E/R), Dec. 20, GNA – The Assemblyman for Duodukrom in the Suhum Kraboa Coaltar District, Mr Sampson Opare Ntiamoah, has expressed his displeasure about the inadequate teaching personnel in the area, especially the Anfatifi Local Authority Primary School and the Duodukrom Local Authority Primary School.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency at the weekend, he noted that at Anfatifi LA school only the headteacher with assistance from some SSS students in the area were in-charge of primary one to six, while at Duodukrom only four teachers instead of six are in-charge of the school. He said all the trained teachers posted to the area have deserted the schools for lack of accommodation, transport and electricity in the area.

Mr Ntiamoah called on the Ghana Education Service in the district to motivate the teachers posted to the area to enable them to stay and help improve upon education in the area.
