“Free Press clears first hurdle – 7 million cedis fine paid”

In another front page story, the Free Press says it has managed to scoop funds from its limited resources to pay 7 million cedis fine imposed on the paper by an Accra High Court. The paper says it paid the fine in two installments of 4 million cedis and 3 million cedis on Tuesday and Wednesday to “our solicitors for onward transmission to the plaintiff, Hon. Kwamena Ahwoi”, Minister of Local Government and Rural Development in the current legal suit with him. GRi
