I’m for all Ghanaians – Mahama

President John Dramani Mahama has parried flak that he discriminates in awarding contracts.

He told party supporters in the Ashanti Region where he is on a four-day campaign tour that his government has the interest of all local contractors at heart irrespective of their political affiliation.

He said there is no way he would only award contracts to National Democratic Congress (NDC) contractors as claimed by the main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) and his critics.

According to him, his government awards contracts to whomever is deserving and qualified.

“I’m for all Ghanaians”, Mr mahama told the supporters at the gathering.

Meanwhile President Mahama on Sunday, November 6 led a health walk in the region.

The campaign health walk was attended by thousands of NDC supporters as they marched from Asawase to other parts of Kumasi.

President Mahama, who later addressed party supporters at Anweaso in the Adansi Asokwa constituency, pointed out that the NPP is not ready to govern the country.

According to him, “the party that is ready to govern this country is the NDC. Why am I saying so? Today, NDC is the most united and well organised party than any other party in Ghana. Look at what’s going on in NPP. NPP is divided into two factions”.

“If that party is rife with these divisions even in opposition, what will happen if we give them power? They are not ready to govern, so let’s continue to leave them in opposition for them to take their time to put their house in order. After 2021 then they come back for Ghanaians to consider them,” he added.
