Fiaso(B/A), Dec. 28, GNA- Members of the Fiaso branch of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) at Fiaso in the Techiman District embarked on a two-hour clean-up exercise and desilted Fia-river at Fiaso.
About 150 members who took part in the exercise also weeded bushy areas and filled pot-holes on the Techiman-Nkoransa trunk road. Speaking to the GNA at Fiaso after the exercise, Chairman of Fiaso NDC, Mr Yakubu Sidik the objective of the exercise was to create awareness of environmental cleanliness.
Mr Sidik said the members intend to offer regular communal labour to assist in the town’s development.
Mr Hassan Frimpong Secretary of the party appealed to supporters of the NDC to interact with other party members to win back the glory of the NDC in the 2004 elections.
