Mrs. Charlotte Osei, Chairperson of the Electoral Commission (EC), will brief the media today, on the Commission’s preparations for this year’s general election.
On the theme, ‘Election 2016: Innovations, flashpoints and other challenges’, the event, in its third edition, is being organised by the Editors Forum, Ghana (EFG).
A statement issued by the EFG and signed by its Chairperson, Ajoa Yeboah-Afari, said the event would provide the EC with an opportunity to dialogue with the media ahead of the elections, to enhance the media’s appreciation of the issues and promote better reportage.
Scheduled for the Accra International Press Centre at 10 am, the event follows similar ones in 2008 and 2012, which afforded the then Chairman the platform to present to the media the challenges of election as well as other election related activities.
The statement invited all editors,news editor, political features writers, morning show hosts and political commentators to attend.
