MP calls for political tolerance

Winneba (C/R), Dec. 26, GNA – The Member of Parliament for Efutu, Mr Mike Hammah has appealed the Ghanaians to do away with politics of acrimony to ensure a peaceful general election next year. He said the political parties should place the nation’s interest above their individual and collective ambitions in their dealings before, during and after the impending electioneering campaign. Mr Hammah was speaking to the GNA after addressing an annual Convention of the Apostle’s Continuation Church at Winnebba on Christmas day.

He drew the attention of the Church to the role they have to play to sustain the peace and stability of the nation. He said without peace it would be impossible for the Church to implement whatever spiritual and material projects they have initiated. He called on Pastors to take a critical look at their contributions towards the fight against the HIV/AIDS pandemic and initiate pragmatic programmes to help to fight the disease
