SDA holds conference

Akim Osino (E/R), Dec. 25, GNA – The President of the East Ghana Conference of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Pastor Kwabena Twum has challenged the youth to intensify the crusade against the HIV/AIDS pandemic to rid the country of the menace.

He was speaking at a four-day meeting organized for the Anyinam and Osino districts branches of the Church at Akim Osino in the Fanteakwa District.

Speaking under the theme: “United in wonder of his Grace”, Pastor Twum told asked the people to worship God in spirit and truth. The conference chairman, Mr Joshua Amoyaw, urged the members to engage in income-generating ventures to earn a living. He called for unity among churches to ensure peace and stability in the country.

Madam Mary Kyeraa, a Presbyter of Akim Osino Church, urged the members, especially the youth, to embrace the study of batik, tye-and-dye recently introduced at Osino/Anyinam district. The conference, which was attended by over 500 participants realized 10.5 million cedis through fundraising in support of the construction of the district church building at Akim Osino.
