President sends Christmas Greeting

Accra, Dec. 25, GNA – President John Agyekum Kufuor has sent warm greetings to Ghanaians during the Christmas season with a call on them to show compassion to fellow human beings, with selflessness, humility, honesty, sacrifice, freedom and justice, some of the principles Jesus Christ stood for.

“The yuletide offers us each passing year a rare opportunity. A chance to rededicate ourselves as citizens of this nation to those virtues for which our Lord Jesus Christ was born, lived, died and resurrected”, he said.

President Kufuor’s Christmas message to Ghanaians was contained in a statement issued in Accra on Wednesday by his Press Secretary, Mr Kwabena Agyepong.

He said the festive season should be a period for Ghanaians to reflect on how Christian values would guide their existence.

“The Christmas season will have a fuller meaning when we in the true traditional Ghanaian spirit share our joy and love with the less fortunate in our society”, he added.
