Three shot in robbery attack in Tamale

Gunmen numbering about four have shot and injured three persons after robbing a mobile money dealer in Tamale Saturday night.

The robbers attacked the dealer at his shop in Kalpohin Estates at about 19:30pm and reportedly snatched an amount of GHC27, 000 being proceeds of sales for the week.

The robber’s while fleeing with their booty shot sporadically at people who attempted to foil the heist injuring the three individuals.

They sped off on a waiting motorbikes leaving the victims wailing for help.

The three included the mobile money dealer only identified as Abdallah, a barber and a suspected customer suffered gunshots wounds at very “sensitive parts of their bodies”.

They are currently being treated at the Tamale Teaching Hospital.
A Staff at the facility told Ultimate News the three were in stable condition but added that one had his left lung affected.

He said one other was shot at the lower part of his abdomen but “his condition was brought under control anyhow”.

A team of police officers from the Criminal Investigations Department of the Tamale District Police Command visited the crime scene to pick evidence of the incident according to a GNA report.
