I never called Mahama a ‘liar’ – Professor Adei

A former rector of the Ghana Institute of Management and Professional Studies, (GIMPA), Professor Stephen Adei has dismissed claims on Social Media that he described President John Mahama as “incompetent and a liar”.

Claims on Social Media indicated that Prof. Adei had rejected the candidacy of the President because he was incompetent.

Some quotes indicating that Ghana’s economy was in a bad state and that ministers were not being truthful have also been attributed to Prof. Adei.

But Prof. Adei in a statement called on Ghanaians to dismiss the quotes attributed to him.

“I wish to categorically deny having stated, “I say No to John Mahama; He is a liar and Incompetent.”

“I wish that the discerning public would treat it with the contempt that it deserves. I condemn such action and irresponsible language, especially in the current political climate, in no uncertain terms. I wish to apologise to his Excellency the President for any harm such malicious actions may cause him.”
