‘Before and During Election’ video of Alfred Okoe Vanderpuije goes viral

A 60-second video of Accra Mayor and the NDC’s parliamentary candidate for the Ablekuma South constituency Alfred Okoe Vanderpuije is trending on social media.

The video which opens with a caption ‘before election’ begins with the Accra mayor handing over an ‘arrested’ person to the police. Shortly after, a bulldozer is seen pulling down structures in an unidentified location with some affected persons fuming at the move purportedly carried out by the Accra Mayor.

In a sharp contrast seconds later, the Accra Mayor is later seen in a series of activities that appear to put him in a more humanitarian light.

A picture of Mr. Okoe Vanderpuije making a donation to a group is quickly followed by a number of pictures of the Accra Mayor unwinding the braids of an unknown lady and later helping with the preparation of ‘banku’.
