Deputy General Secretary of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) lawyer Obiri Boahen has thrown salvos at the Deputy General Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Koku Anyidoho for describing Dr. Mahamudu Bawmumia as ‘Mutun Banza’.
“Mutum Banza” is a Hausa expression used to describe a person who cannot be used for anything meaningful. In other words, “Mutum Banza” means “a useless person” or “a nonentity.”
Koku Anyidoho was addressing party supporters at the Jubilee Park in Kumasi during the campaign launch of the NDC in the Ashanti Region, with Vice President Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur presiding. Lawyer Obiri Boahen who sounded furious used unprintable words to describe his opponent.
According to him he would not waste his time on a senseless, proud and stupid person like Koku Anyidoho. He further described him as foolish.
He added, ”If a ‘foolish’ person like him talks like this, why should the media waste their time on him. We cannot continue to allow a ‘foolish’ to make comments like this and continue to give him prominence.” When asked to retract and apologize from his comments, he failed to do so claiming that, he would not do so for a foolish person like Koku Anyidoho.
He further indicated that the ‘stupid’ of Koku Anyiddoho is beyond repair due to the level it has increased to. ”He is stupid beyond repairs. He is stupid and has graduated to a different level. He is out of control. We cannot continue to pamper Koku Anyidoho for his tangent. ”
