SIF builds classrooms for Senya in Brong Ahafo

Nkoranza (B/A), Dec 16, GNA- The Nkoranza District Assembly is assisting the people of Senya in the district to build a block of six classrooms for the local primary school.

The project estimated at about 333 million cedis, is under the Ghana Poverty Reduction Programme (GPRP) and financed through the Social Investment Fund (SIF).

Mr. Eric Baffoe-Akrapim, Chairman of the local unit committee told the Ghana News Agency at Nkoranza that the community is supporting the project with 33.3 million.

The people are expected to provide local materials such as sand, store, timber boards as well as water and communal labour as their commitment fee.

Mr. Fordjour said the people would contribute special levies and organize a fund-raising harvest to generate funds in support of the project.
