Political tension at Cape Coast

The political temperature in the town of “beautiful nonsense”, Cape Coast seems to be rising with the deepening rift between its Member of Parliament, Ms Christine Churcher and the Central Regional Minister, Mr. Kojo Yankah. The subdued tension between the two which burst out into an exchange of words during the recent demonstration by the displaced market women of Kotokuraba, has now taken an intellectual dimension with the exchange of letters between the two with Mr. A. Fiifi Ghartey, the Presiding Member of the Cape Coast Municipal Assembly as the proxy for Mr. Yankah who is also acting Municipal Chief Executive.
